Joyful Noise studio was founded nearly 20 years ago, beginning as just a simple in-home piano studio.
The last fifteen years has seen its student base soar from 5 students placements at 1 day every week to
lesson availability for as much as 60 practical and 10 theoretical students yearly.
The absolute excellence put forward by the senior level students has opened up opportunities for student
teachers. This 2009 -2010 season has 5 students spanning throughout north and south Ajax, all of whom
are first class honours student and festival winners.
We are a group of teachers wishing to teach from our homes in an intimate personal setting while
maintaining central registration and business management. Collectively, we present two recitals per year
(Christmas and spring) in the grandest fashion to ensure our students have the opportunity to experience
the pleasure and excitement of a performing in front of a large audience.
Sue Hucklebridge oversees the student teachers and is involved in each and every placement, matching
the teacher and student in order to maximize success. As a parent of a special needs child, Sue has opened
her studio up to gifted and learning disabled children with unconditional acceptance of their needs. The
awesome success of these children at each and every recital speaks for itself.
Our goal is to pass on the love of music and the joy of learning at a natural pace, whatever that pace may be.
